WHO
Diane Gruenke previously owned and operated a travel agency. Now she travels once a year, mostly to sacred places. She has been a hospice volunteer for about 9 years.

WHAT IT IS AND WHAT IS IT FOR?
It is an aide to anyone visiting the elderly, dying, sickly or just lonely. There are articles to help you communicate better, to understand, entertain, inspire and uplift.

HOW IT CAME TO BE
For many years, Diane had been collecting stories, jokes, quizzes, etc. One year ago, on December 20, 2010, Diane visited her son’s friend, Mikel, who was in the hospital dying from liver cancer. Earlier in the day, Diane had found a penny in a parking lot. December 20 was the 8th anniversary of Diane’s father’s passing. She brought some of her stories to the visit. Mike’s family read them and said how much they enjoyed them. Diane’s son, Gunar, said, “Mom why don’t you put them in a book so others can use them.” Mike passed on the 21st. Diane started on the book. One year later, after finding another penny on the kitchen floor, Diane picked up the finished books on December 20. ( read about the pennies in the book.)
